Want to look runway-ready for spring? Check out this hot look from Eddie Maleterre, the official makeup artist for L’Oréal Paris in Canada, using L’Oréal Paris’ Spring 2006 Colour Remix collection:
THE LOOK: Desert rose
STRIKING EYES: For a noticeable and sultry look, start off by sweeping Taupe from the Rhythmic Eyes Eye-Cream Duo in Equal across the entire eyelid and brow bone. Next, take Storm (a brown-mauve shade) from Turntable Eyes In-The-Mix Eyeshadow Quad and contour the eye, beginning from the end of the eyelid and working inward. If you want to make the look more intense, add a second layer of Storm to the contour of the eye. Then, line the entire eye with the Violetta shade. To create extra drama, dab a small amount of Touch-On Colour All Over Highlighter in Golden Amplifier above the top corner of the eye. Finish the look with a coat of Volume Shocking Mascara in Blackest Black to the top and bottom of your lashes.
SEXY CHEEKS AND FACE: To make the most of your features and make skin luminous, apply the darker shade found in Blush Remix in Retro Rose to the cheekbones, sweeping it from the bottom to the top of the temple. Next, add a light dusting of the lighter shade to the apples of the cheeks to highlight.
PERFECT POUT: Use Colour Riche in Jazzy Berry for that perfect “just kissed” look.
BONUS: If you want the perfect look for your hair to complement your oh-so-glamorous makeup, apply Studio Line Hot Volume to wet hair and blow-dry. Then, pull hair up into a loose up-do allowing pieces of the hair to fall naturally around the face to frame it, creating a romantic yet relaxed look.
