Famous for her role as Liberty Van Zandt on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Sarah also enjoys dancing, singing in the shower, globetrotting to exotic destinations, cooking gourmet meals, creative writing and hanging out with her friends. She is a theatre addict and is looking forward to going to university in a couple years. Sarah lives, was born and raised in Toronto, Canada where she is not a fan of the wintry, cold weather.

Gorillas and California

Okay, first off I am going to just take a second to say how awesome the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ new single "Dani California" is.... I am listening to it right now. LOVE IT! Do you love it, too?

Second, I have a new “signature” nail polish. It’s called California Coral. I actually feel happy just looking at my nails. Haha, okay, I'll admit that sounds kinda insanely silly, but it's the truth. Do you have a signature nail polish or perfume or hairstyle?

I love the whole idea of a laid-back, beachy California lifestyle—it’s so appealing!

Okay... now that that little random tidbit is out of the way, why don’t I actually tell you about my life?

Early last week one of my best friends came in from out of town, and it was sooo great to see her! She hadn't seen my new place yet, so I was stoked to show her around and feel all hostess-y.

After that we had a Toronto appreciation day and toured around all the best shopping areas like Queen West and Yorkville. She is from London, Ont., and apparently they do not have H&M, so needless to say we spent a long time there. It is so awesome to find cute stuff at low prices.

We also had a run-in with a gorilla (no joke, pics to prove it) and each got a manicure. It was a really fun day and it’s always nice to catch up with my friends.

Then I worked most of the week, so by Friday I wanted to have fun, so I went to a party. On Saturday I went to a student fashion show to raise money for Free the Children, which was also great, but Saturday night didn't end so well because my friend accidentally ran a red light (which was actually yellow) and the cops gave her a ticket. It was her first, and probably her last, because she is the most responsible girl I know. It was too bad, but hey, it happens.

As for right now, I am about to watch So You Think You Can Dance, which is my favourite reality show. I have been dancing since I was four, so it is in my blood.

I am hoping to go to the beach this weekend because the weather is supposed to be great, so I’ll let you know how that goes.

California Coral? Can't say I've ever heard of it, but it sounds like a great shade! Nail polish is a girl's sacred item; I have my own signature shade too. Gotta love California!

DANI CALIFORNIA OMG OMG OMG lol Its like my favorite song right now I looooves it!
Now nail polish-I havent worn it in a while because I had these extremly fake nails(which I just took off the other day) lol yea they looked horrible but anyways.The nail polish I wear most chrome pink.1)Im a pink lover 2)shiny like woah.
The Free the Children thing sounds nice :) Its cool to see that you help out in your free time aka you rock Miriam!

You must like California, huh? I loooooove "Dani California," too. I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I also like their other songs "Californication" and "Can't Stop." I know how it feels to constantly stare at you nails. I did that once when I got a manicure for graduation. I was obsessed with my nails. My signature nail polish is Big Apple Red; my signature perfume is I Love Love by Moschino, and I usually curl my hair. Also, in that picture, did you get your bag at H&M, because I think I have the same one. Haha, that's weird. Anyway, I hope you have a good weekend.

California is okay. I mean, I've been in California for 18 years and I have spent some time in Oregon, which I'm in love. :D LOL!!! :p Well...I don't necessarily have a signature nail polish right now. It used to be like this pretty dark green. I just loved it in high school. I guess my signature perfume right now is one by Perri Ellis. As of hairstyle, that's hard. I used to always have my hair up because taking care of curly hair is a drag. Now since I've been in college, I've had it down. But it used to be lighter, but now it's getting back to it's natural color. The Red Hot Chilli Pepers are great!!! :D

I've never been to California, but my friend lives there and I've heard it's very beautiful, open && airy. I would love to see a palm tree and try surfing, as well as seeing the Pacific Ocean! I live in New York City, and from what I've heard, Cali is the exact opposite. I hope to visit one day! :)

the grass is always greener....i live in CA so the beach is like right there....and i havent gone in a couple of months... i would much rather be in canada, or at least where my mom is from becuase it is alot less crowded, whoever said CA is open and airy ....that isnt correct pretty much everywhere here but farms and deserts{which are hot and sticky} are full of condos and mini-malls.

That's a nice picture of you and the gorilla bear. Your show is great, you did a nice performance in "Our Lips Our Sealed" episodes. My stepfather once stationed in California when he was in the Navy. And, I hope you'll have your own spin off or Degrassi becomes a college. Yes, I'm a guy, I live in Upstate South Carolina in the town called Greenwood (a few miles near Augusta, Georgia and a few miles near Greenville, South Carolina), I watch D:TNG on The N network in the US. BTW, you're the most beautiful actress on the show, Sheane Grimes comes in second and Melissa DiMarco comes in third. Long live Degrassi! BTW, listen to "California Dreamin'" by The Mamas and The Papas. A groovy song. I think that Darcy (Shenae) and Spinner (Shane Kippel) should be a nice couple in Degrassi, and Liberty (Sarah Barrable Tishauer) and J.T. (Ryan Cooley) are Luke and Laura of Degrassi. I wish I could meet you one day, I haven't met a celebrity before (except coutnry music singer and a jazz violinst). And keep on the good work.

Oh man, I know, H&M is the best. If you think the one in Toronto is nice, you should see the one in Sweden! God, it is SO nice. Montreal is really awesome for shopping too. I live in Ottawa, so I'm kind of in between Toronto and Montreal. Too bad Ottawa SUCKS when it comes to shopping.
