Famous for her role as Liberty Van Zandt on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Sarah also enjoys dancing, singing in the shower, globetrotting to exotic destinations, cooking gourmet meals, creative writing and hanging out with her friends. She is a theatre addict and is looking forward to going to university in a couple years. Sarah lives, was born and raised in Toronto, Canada where she is not a fan of the wintry, cold weather.

While most people recognize her as Emma Nelson from Degrassi: The Next Generation, Miriam may also be familiar to many as the "Voice of YTV". Her voice-over credits include episodes of the animated series Jojo's Circus, Ripping Friends, Cyberchase and Pecoca as well as voicing the lead in the animated series Englebert.

Miriam’s Must-Dos

Hello everybody!

As you know, I am Miriam McDonald and this summer I am going to give you an inside look at what I do. But don't get me wrong, I do NOT mean I will tell you all about my work as an actress. I mean I will treat this blog as a friend, and give you updates on what’s going on!

Here is the beginning of my MUST-DO list for summer '06:

-Go to Canada’s Wonderland
-Go to Toronto islands
-Go camping
-Go to Wasaga Beach (it IS summer…haha)
-Play beach volleyball
-Learn to rollerblade
-Go to every concert possible
-Meet lots of cute boys (but that’s more of a year-round task)
-Have a BBQ on my roof------> *Details to follow!

I am updating this must-do list daily and I would love input on what great summer stuff I am forgetting, so PLEASE post some suggestions!

I really think this summer is going to be amazing for several reasons: the most important being that I am living on my own! A couple of months ago I moved into a condo downtown and I can not wait for the summer weather so I can tan on the roof and have parties up there and all that stuff!

I am also really excited for my birthday, which is July 26. I think my friend and I (who has a birthday a few days before mine) are going to do a crazy joint birthday soiree thingy and invite loads of people and have a theme and deejay and some ridiculous dress code and all that good stuff! I will OBVIOUSLY update you on that....

Apart from that I will be acting and hanging out and basically doing everything I can to have the best summer ever!

As for right now, the weather is kind of crap, which means it is a great time to learn my scenes for the first day of filming season six! My call time is 6:45 a.m. so I'll have to wake up earlier than I have in months—but that’s okay because I can’t wait to get back to work. AAHH!!! I am a hypocrite—I said I wouldn’t talk about acting! hahahahaha
Okay, on that note, I am out.

Hey Miriam!! well your to-do list is pretty sweet.. I'm planning to go to Canada's Wonderland pretty soon and im pretty excited.. i'm also making my way to toronto to go watch a Blue Jay's game the 14th of June.. so thats pretty exciting.. :D:D.. well anyways.. you should really intive us all to your birthday party cause what would be sick!! we could celeberate mine too.. cause my b-day is the begining of aug.. :D well peace out. have a good one

hey Miriam! it's awesome u have a blog! ur to-do list sounds pretty interesting and u gave me some ideas for my -fun-summer list :] So how is it living by yourself?..that must be annoying having to cook and stuff. I know that would be for me, considering the only thing i can make is toast (and i burn that sometimes too..) Well anyways have a FANTABULOUS summer and good luck on ur first year living by yourself!!!!!

Hey! I have some ideas for your to-do-list,lol
First you should definetly go to the beach with a bunch of friends and scout out some hotties;) haha, Go seadooing and boating, tubing and wakeboarding(so much fun) and if possible learn to surf cause that would be so cool!
Second go to the mountains and go horseback riding, or ride along the beach, that would be cool!
Third have tons of parties, even a house warming party haha, that would be awesome, and have lots of fun!
Fourth try paintballing, go rollerblading, learn to skateboard, and just have lots of fun relaxing and get an awesome tan!! haha

Your to-do-list sounds pretty sweet. Come to Wasaga Beach, my cottage is there :) It can get pretty busy sometimes, but it's GORGEOUS there. I'm stoked for the summer. :)

okay soo i know you been to all different places in the united states for mall tours but i think the best way to really get a good feel of the states is to take a road trip!! you could stop by all the famous landmarks of the country like the white house or you could go to this one place where you're in 4 states at one time!(it's a wierd state line kind of thing)i think it sounds really fun. i've taken road trips along the atlantic coast but never across the whole US but as soon as i get my liscense i'll def. be hitting the road. and if you decide to actually do this i think you should stop by jersey first cuhz that's where youre biggest fans are=]

i agree with wonu on everything except where your biggest fans are.my cousin lauren loves loves loves you and cassie. im a big fan of aubrey drake graham myself(i mean come on have you see the boy, i even have his song playin on my myspace page kpskittles) anyway,since you'll already be acting this summer, any plans to do any more tv movies like "shes too young"? i thought you were TERRIFIC in that movie by the way
