"I think I've learned more in the last two years than I have in my whole life," says Lillix's Tasha-Ray Evin. It was all of these life lessons and experiences that inspired the songs on the band's long-awaited sophomore album, Inside The Hollow (in stores now).
Now, Tasha-Ray, along with her bandmates Lacey-Lee Evin, Louise Burns and Alicia Warrington want to share their thoughts with their fans through an exclusive FASHION18 blog.
Check back to fashion18.com every Thursday to see what the girls have to say on everything from how to start your own band to their favourite fashion and beauty tips.

Hello there FASHION18 readers! So nice of you to stop by my blog page. My name is Alicia Warrington. I am originally from Saginaw, Michigan. I play drums in the Canadian pop/rock band Lillix. You can find our new single, “Sweet Temptation,” on the MuchMusic countdown.
I’m going to write about a question we seem to get every day of our lives: What’s it like being in an all-girl band?
I wonder why so many people ask us this. I never hear guy bands getting asked about what it’s like to be in a band full of guys. Of course, there are your OBVIOUS differences:
1. Our tour vehicle smells better.
2. We still smell good after playing a show.
3. Our private parts are different than a boy band.
In all seriousness, I don’t wake up in the morning and say, “Wow! I’m in an all-girl band!” I say, “I’m in a BAND.” I am a musician. I rarely think about my gender when I’m thinking about music. One has nothing to do with the other.
I receive quite a few emails from young girls and women saying what an influence I have been to them. They think it’s great to see a feminine girl rocking out on the drums. I’ve heard a lot of women say they’ve always wanted to play the drums or be in a touring band but were told it was a guy thing. Girls…this is FALSE!!
I have been drumming for 14 years. I’ve played everything from pop to death metal. I’ve been in bands with boys and girls. True, this is my first “all-girl” band, but what does that really mean? It means we ROCK. That’s all.
Alicia

Hey there,
I was acquainted with the last drummer for your band as well. Always wanted to talk to you and see what else you can do, seeing as all I've heard from you is Lillix, and I have to be honest that it's not my favourite genre, nor does it demonstrate what you surely can do. I wish I could hear what you're capable of, seeing as you say you play death metal as well. Wish we could jam.
Not like you'll read this. But if you're ever in Vancouver, ask if anyone knows a chick drummer named Sam. They might.
