Hung Up on H&M

If you thought fashion guru Madonna couldn’t get any hipper you’re wrong; she’s now teamed up with uber chic fashion chain H&M to supply a complete off stage wardrobe for her entire touring crew including band, dancers, and the Material Girl herself.

During Madonna’s Confessions Tour, which kicked off on May 21st, she will be outfitted by Jean Paul Gaultier onstage and will be equally glam offstage in H&M. Sharing similar philosophies of fashion diversity and eclectic trendsetting, “Team Madonna” and H&M are the perfect union of music and fashion.

“This is a thrill for H&M. We look forward to seeing how her touring family translates H&M’s seasonal trends to their own personal looks,” says passionate Margareta van den Bosch, H&M’s head of design. Madonna agrees:
“Partnering up with H&M feels like a perfect fit. We’ll all get to express ourselves in our own individual ways. The dancers and I are excited to go shopping together.”

Madonna and her entire tour will be free to mix-and-match items from H&M’s entire 2006 collection ranging from clean cut 1900’s-inspired preppy glamour to updated classic denims, knits and accessories. You don’t have to be part of Madonna’s tour to dress like the iconic superstar; a specially designed Madonna tracksuit is hitting H&M stores mid-August.

If you’re not lucky enough to catch the Queen of Pop and her sensational dancers on tour, keep an eye out for the upcoming H&M advertising campaign slated to air this fall.
